of the chapter, Joyce wrote the following first-draft version of FW 304—306. A
typescript of this passage is found on MS 47478, 136.
The first draft itself (MS 4748, 124) is headed, as are other pages cited above,
by the words "Te Deum" to which Joyce added "Antiphona after A," clarifying
the ritual sense and the structure of the passage.
